Rye IPA Mallorca – Punk Is Dad is our craft beer with rye: brewed in Alaró, in the Serra de Tramuntana, with Tramuntana water, organic malts, hops from León, 45 IBU and a punk story that did not come from a marketing meeting.
The music came long before the beer.
Long before FORASTERA, there were concerts, occupied venues, broken amplifiers, seven-inch records and far too many kilometres on the road.
For years, Sven was part of the European Punk, Hardcore and Crust scene. He played in different bands, organised shows and ran an independent label for more than twenty years.
That time did not end because adulthood arrived. Family, children and the brewery simply added new priorities.
And then something funny happened: punk did not disappear. It simply became a dad.
Punk Is Dad comes exactly from that idea. It is not a beer about the old days. It is a beer about staying yourself when life changes.
The base combines Bio Pilsner, Bio Roggen, Bio Cara and Bio BlackBlack. Rye gives it creamier texture and a spicy edge; hops from León bring herbal depth, resin and clean bitterness.
In a Rye IPA, rye is not decoration. It brings texture, spicy dryness and a creamier mouthfeel that changes the way the hops appear.
Punk Is Dad opens round and creamy, then moves into herbal, resinous and direct bitterness. It is intense without being heavy, bitter without becoming aggressive.
We brew it in Alaró, in the Serra de Tramuntana, with Tramuntana water and hops grown in León. Then we add organic rye, time and an unhealthy amount of passion for making beer.



Creamy entry, medium body, spicy rye, herbal and resinous notes, clean bitterness and a dry finish.
Rye adds texture, spicy dryness and a creamier feel. It gives the hops depth, not just aroma and bitterness.
Not a classic West Coast IPA and not a tropical NEIPA. It is a Rye IPA: hoppy, dry, resinous and layered with rye.
The best way to understand Punk Is Dad is to drink it fresh at our taproom in Alaró, directly inside the brewery.

A Rye IPA is an IPA brewed with rye. It keeps the hoppy character of an IPA, but rye changes the experience: more texture, spicy dryness and a creamier mouthfeel.
Because becoming a father does not mean you stop being who you are. Before FORASTERA, Sven spent years in the Punk, Hardcore and Crust scene. Then came children, family and the brewery. Punk did not disappear; it became a dad.
Rye brings body, creamy texture and a slightly spicy edge. In Punk Is Dad it makes the beer more complex than a classic IPA without making it heavy.
A classic IPA usually focuses on hops: aroma, bitterness and a dry finish. A Rye IPA is also hoppy, but rye adds structure, spicy dryness and more depth.
There are many paths in the IPA family: West Coast IPA, New England IPA, Session IPA, Double IPA, Black IPA and Rye IPA. Punk Is Dad belongs to the Rye IPA family.
