Bockbiers rank among the heaviest and maltiest, yet smoothest, brews in the world, first brewed in the 13th century in the north of Germany. This style was adopted in the 17th century by medieval German monasteries who brew this strong beer for sustenance during their fasts periods in winter and spring.
Bocks are bottom fermented lagers that take extra time to develop their robust malt character and dark amber to brown hue. The first season batch of Rock the Bock! is now available in Forastera’s Brew Pub waiting to be sipped with pleasure.
